HECTOR DEL CURTO, bandoneon
Born in
Buenos Aires, Argentina, bandoneon player Hector Del Curto
has traveled the world both as soloist and chamber musician,
having shared the stage with the world-renowned tango composers
Astor Piazzolla and Osvaldo Pugliese, ballet dancer Julio
Bocca, the ensembles Orquesta Sinfonica de Buenos Aires and
the Teatro Colon Ballet.
Recordings
include performances with Tito Puente and Eddie Palmieris
Grammy Award-winning collaboration "Masterpiece"
(RMM), Roy Nathanson, Elvis Costello, Cyrus Chestnut, Deborah
Harry and Shakira.
He performed
at Carnegie Hall in 1999 with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra
and outstanding artists such as Gary Burton, Joe Lovano, Argentine
pianist Pablo Ziegler.
Del Curto toured with the spectacular show "Forever Tango"
for four years, including an extended run on Broadway.
