Argentine-born
child prodigy, he started dancing Tango at the early age of
9. Pablo is the son of Esther and Mingo Pugliese, disciples
of the late Carlos Estevez "Petroleo", and two of
the most important milongueros alive today.
In
1994, at the age of 14, he won the First Prize at the prestigious
Tango
competition "Torneos Juveniles Bonaerenses".
Since
1996 he has toured extensively all around the world teaching
master classes and performing.
Pablo
is one of the most popular guest teachers to travel outside
Argentina, and the series of his 5 instructional videos released
by Bridge to The Tango is clear example of his unique approach.
He
presently teaches at Dance Manhattan in New York, and was
recently featured at "Stardust Celebrates the Tango!",
appearing onstage and teaching master classes.
Pablo
is a highly versatile dancer, who has training in modern and
ballet as well. He was a Scholarship student at Alvin Ailey
in New York and at the Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival.
Pablo
was recently commissioned to choreograph and perform his work
for the "Midsummer Night Swing" at Lincoln Center
in New York. Mr. Pugliese is one of Fusion Tango's main choreographers.
